This post contains three picture books I don´t really regard as great enough for their own posts.
First we have this 1993 "Zauberhafte Märchenwelt" edition from the geramn Unipart Verlag publishing in Stuttgart. It was Illustrated by Eckhard Freytag.
These are the for this blog relevant illustrations from that blog. Its pretty meh. The illustrations are far too kitschy and saccarine sweet for my taste.
Next one was published in 1979 by the german Meister Verlag, in the "Kinderland Buchpaket" edition. Illustrator was Einar Langerwall, who also worked for european Disney Comics at that time.
Those illustration have a nice trippy ness for them, you realize that the 1970s were a decade in which mindbending drugs were a commonpast time activity. I do actually like the image of Alice stuck in the house. Its really a shame that the colouration hasn´t aged very well...
Last one for now. This book was published in 1969 by McClelland and Stewart Ltd. in Canada. Illustrations are by Rosemary Honeybourne.
Not much to say about this one . The illustrations are quite bland, boring and generic. Their look appearantly is supposed to resemble childrens drawings. Very Meh.
Thats all folks.

Alice in Wonderland Picture Book
This here is a very adorable manga version of the story:
It was published in 2006 by Gentosha Comics, artist is Sakura Kinoshita.
The hall of door scene. An interesting idea in this manga is that Alice looks different in every chapter.
In the white rabbits house. I don´t know why Bill is a tadpole.
Alice and the mushroom.
Alice eats a little of the shrinking mushroom before aproaching the house of the duchess. Its a new chapter so she looks different.
At the court. There are many little gags in this comic, some a little anachronistic (the "Drink Me"-bottle in the hall of doors is an energy drink bottle). The idea with the changing looks is great, Alice looks in all of her forms adorable. We need more neat manga versions like this one.

Pavilion Books Alice in Wonderland
Another british version of the book.
It was published by Chrysalis books in 2004, Illustrator is Michael Foreman.
Shrunken Alice and the glas table.
Effects of the mushroom.
Alice accidently the jury.

Shrunken Alice and the glas table.
Alice is streched tall after eating the cake. The design of this version of Alice resembles the look of the original Alice Liddle.
Alice stuffed into the White Rabbits house like in a much too small box.
Effects of the mushroom.
Alice accidently the jury.
All in all a nice iointerpretation, even thou the artist seemingly couldn´t make up his mind if he wants to draw the art light and cute or dark and creepy.
Marvel Comics UK Alice in Wonderland
I found this little gem about 2-3 years ago when I visited London.
This comic was published by Marvel Comucs UK in 1978. I don´t know who the artist was, bout you clearly see the Marvel style in the artworks.
Alice shrinks small...
...and grows tall.
And of course in the end she ends up in her own tears.
The white rabbits house scene.Pat is a goose here for some reason.
The mushroom scene short and good.
Alice does it right and gets into the garden.
Growing at the court.
Alice giving her evidence with the usual result.
I really like this comic, Alice in Wonderland in classic 1970s superhero style works surprisingly well.
